The GHG Emissions Generating Capacity by Productive Sectors in the EU: A SAM Analysis

In this paper, we evaluate the generating capacity of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions that all productive sectors have in EU-27 2010. The analysis is performed using social accounting matrices (SAMs) each Member State (MS) and evaluating interactions among industries, factors, households with respect to aggregated SAM for EU-27. main advantages contributions study existing literature are two. First, availability whole income distribution detailed SAMs second, their comparability across countries. aim research better understand how may damage environment depending on structure final demand, particularly a period economic recession, which very relevant context COVID-19 near future. results show intersectoral connections diverse by MS consequently, there more differences generation GHG emission country than sector. Our reinforce idea involving regional national governments design implementation EU abatement strategies, taking into account peculiarities region.
